There's some small amount of magic I'm missing here. I'm tyirng to mount
various volumes exported from a Network Appliance server as well as
Solaris boxes on my Redhat Linux 7.3 box. I can't get anything to behave
properly. Here's what I'm seeing:
[root@kraken root]# showmount -e vortex
mount clntudp_create: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Timed out
In this case, 'vort4ex' is a Solaris 5.7 machine, but I get the same error
doing this against the netapp. Other Solaris machines are mounting NFS
volumes from the netapp and other Solaris boxes without a problem.
What am I missing?
portmap and statd are running locally.
