Ok ...got further with the RC1 but we still need to identify
compatibility and changes in the RELEAS-NOTES.

Dave, would be great if you could look into that - you did
the major changes IIRC. AFAIU annotation support is the new
big thing, right? What else ...should we list all bugs we
closed?

The current jardiff/clirr reports are at

 http://people.apache.org/~tcurdt/jakarta-bcel/rc1/

Bug-wise I think we should be ok for now. The basic
documentation should be updated as well.

Would be great to get at least the RC1 out of the door
ASAP.

+1 for pushing on with a build if none of the remaining bugs look

Yes fine by me. The remaining bugs i was uncomfortable fixing at this point,

Subject: outstanding bugs

So we are basically left with 7 bugs ATM.

1 is an enhancement request and 3 are sitting
there waiting for further information.
So basically 3 bugs after all.

How are feelings for doing the release anyway?

Would be nice to have them all fixed - but
especially the verifier ones may take some
time to look into.

If everyone is ok with proceeding with the
release anyway I will prepare the RC build
after I've applied the formatting.

How does that sound?

cheers
