scratch that, wrong way around So, fact is: * if you load manually the module "ssb:v4243id0812rev0A" then it's loaded fine * if that exact same modalias is generated it doesn't load automatically There must be something else wrong. The uppercase letter definitely was a problem, but now it seems to be something else, possibly in your udev/modprobe. johannes
