I have been planning a switch away from openSUSE for some time because they 
refuse to fix things 
like this. I filed a bug report on udev last week and got the response "it will 
be fixed in 10.3, 
but we won't do anything about 10.2". I already have the Fedora DVD ready, but 
that will take a 
while to do. I'll let you know when I'm back up.

At least we fixed one bug.
