Thanks for the links.  My problem seems to be more closely related to
the wireless system than those of the posters on those sites; indeed,
that's why I originally posted here, since the flicker seemed to be so
closely coupled to the bcm43xx driver.  It's certainly possible,
though, for anything that I know, that it's a hardware bug that just
happens, on my machine, to be triggered by some perfectly legitimate
bit of the bcm43xx code.
