Robert, I can think of two things off the top of my head.
First, During one of the apparitions of the Our Lady at Medjugorje, in what was then Yugoslavia, in the early 1980's, she said that fasting and prayer were so powerful that they could even stop war. I remember reading about how the Second Council of Constantinople and the Council of Nicea removed everything concerning reicarnation from the bible. Then I read RS say that for the evolution of the soul it was important that man go through a period of time where he believed there was only one life to live. I think that if there were more fasting and prayer, that 2000 year cycle could have been brought to a close much sooner. Similarly, many great ones have predicted that communism is destined to spread over all lands. That time is now. This cycle of elite rule over everyone else must also come to pass and is probably just as important for the evolution of the soul as it was for the masses to believe there is only one life to live. There are all kinds of pre-conceived prejudices and barriers to truth in the minds of people, trying to convince them can be a formidable task unless they are already receptive to what you have to say. Fasting and prayer work on inconceivable levels of spirit that flow down into mind, body and soul, naturally overcoming prejudices and barriers to truth. If enough people fasted and prayed, this cycle could be brought to a natural close much sooner. People will wake up sooner, not having to go through some of the experiences they were destined to go through because someone fasted and prayed for them. Therefore, fasting and prayer (meditation) is first on the list. Second, according to a Federal Reserve bank inflation calculator, the value of the dollar has been erroded 18 times since 1913. That means a salary of $10,000 in 1913 is equal to a salary of $180,000 today just to keep up with infalation! What you paid $1 for in 1913 you now have to pay $18 for the same good or service. How difficult will it be to make an honest living in the not so distant future when you have to fork out $50 for something that should only cost $1. This kind of subtle wealth confiscation is one way the rich become richer and the poor poorer. The kind of funny money that allows this to happen is what governments use to control populations. One way to move the balance of power back to the people and the best way to protect our incomes, retirements, our families futures from poverty is to use money that cannot be devalued, an inflation proof money. Doing our work is one part of the answer. Telling people about what we are doing (and converting some of them) is another part. There's more - much more. But what is it??? How do we break through the ignorance - the willful ignorance (Smith's references to the Matrix are perfect) - of most people and start spreading the truth? And how do we get most folks to accept that truth, and to act on it? More than that, how can we use this truth to change our institutions - especially as the guardians of those institutions don't want them to change?
