I understand -- and I was thinking about the alternatives to such as I
was writing -- just didn't quite make it to the keyboard......

I have read about the "new stuff" -- but, don't know of its availability
as of yet -- and who is to say that it will ultimately be more "user
friendly" than the arsenic pt wood

Yep -- locust is great -- but I understand the stuff that lasts is the
"honey locust" variety. Most of what we have around here is the black
locust, I believe. I have used some of the local locust here for various
things -- mail box is still standing ;-) -- but, I can see the
deterioration -- and couple of fence posts were not in such great shape
that have only been in ground for about 5 years. So, gotta pay
attention.

Anyway, -- you will have trouble making logs work under plywood without a
lot of work -- but -- what do you have besides time anyway ;-).........?

Unless you are really sold on the solid wood floor -- you make do just
fine with putting down some gravel first -- then the 6 mil black tarp
poly -- then putting down more 57 stone on top. That way, you have a
place for moisture / water to flow -- and the poly will act as a vapor
barrier -- and gravel on top to store on and traffic.

I am sure that you make the right decision for yourself.

Best!

Wayne
