Folk, About twenty four of five years ago, Fran and I were having great difficulty establishing the first plantings of native trees on our 200 acres of land that was damaged by fifty years of cropping and one hundred and fifty of grazing. We would plant a couple of hundred in an fenced off enclosure and have five a year later. I read one of Caddy's books on Finhorn and decided I needed help. SO next time I got ready to plant and started by calling at the top of my voice, inviting any appropriate Deva to gather and joy in a co-operative action to establish trees on the property. I told then if they helped, I would do all I could and would try to pick up any advice or direction they offered. I told them they were free to do as they liked within the property and would not be using chemicals and trusted we could jointly heal the property to our mutual interest. That year our success rate wa in the low ninety percents and has gradually risen from then on.
