To all following this thread, The explanations of compost tea requirements, all the trials and tribulations and discussions have been fascinating.
I cannot help but wonder why there is so much effort into getting what seems to be a high effort input system working, when the Kyusei Nature Farming Effective Micro-Organism (EM) (anaerobic fermentation) system is cheap, simple, efficient and highly effective, and does not require all this simple, yet difficult-to-get-right technology. There are a wide range of EM derivatives, including variations on the basic compost tea concept. Please, conduct a comparative trial and see if it works for you. It is being used with great success in South Africa over a wide range of applications, from conventional to organic and Bio-Dynamic farms. Guys, this EM stuff simply WORKS, and works SIMPLY!!!!
