hi bhavthosh when i just create a dll i can place it in the bin directory . but i
have now created the asembly and made it public. the steps which i used are :
1.creating a .vb code behind file. 2. assigning a strong name using sn.exe . then
referenging this strong in my .vb file with the assembly file attribute.
<assembly:AssemblyKeyFileAttribute("cnn.snk")> 3. using vbc.exe: vbc @abc.rsp
/t:library connect.vb /out:C:\ASP.NET\ZEN\dll\connect.dll /verbose 4.using
gacutil.exe: gacutil.exe /i connect.dll after this i am able to see my assembly in
my c:\winnt\assembly Folder . Am sure the above steps are Correct , and finally in
the aspx page , i used the <%@ assembly name ="myassemblyname" %> tag. after this
when i run the page am getting the error. Parser Error Message: File or assembly name
connect, or one of its dependencies, was not found." so what am i supposed to do now
? regs senthil
