----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: SignatoryDotnetter Message 6 in Discussion Mrinal, This might be a very silly question - but are you using ASP or ASP.NET?? If you are using ASP.NET, suggest you use the Page ViewState or some more modern method of passing values. If you are using ASP also you can use form posts. But if you want to use querystrings, then you can simply catch the exception by querying the database first with the Querystring values and then check if the value exists. The only problem is if the user should NOT BE ALLOWED to change the querystring. In that case, you will have to use a better mechanism because querystrings are bad for such a scenario.
