Guys,
I am trying to use FileBasedResourceManager to read strings from a resources file.
Like,
ResourceManager
objResMngr=ResourceManager.CreateFileBasedResourceManager("Errors","",null);
return objResMngr.GetString(strErrorCode);
I am getting the error ,
An unhandled exception of type 'System.Resources.MissingManifestResourceException'
occurred in mscorlib.dll
Additional information: Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified
culture (or the neutral culture) on disk.
baseName: Errors locationInfo: <null> fileName: Errors.resources
Any thoughts on this?What am I doing wrong?

Mrinal,

This might be a very silly question - but are you using ASP or ASP.NET??

If you are using ASP.NET, suggest you use the Page ViewState or some more modern
method of passing values.

If you are using ASP also you can use form posts. But if you want to use querystrings,
then you can simply catch the exception by querying the database first with the
Querystring values and then check if the value exists.

The only problem is if the user should NOT BE ALLOWED to change the querystring. In
that case, you will have to use a better mechanism because querystrings are bad for
such a scenario.
