I have two tables as follows in SQL Server 7.0 (Note SQL Server is not 2000)
One of the tables will have user information like Table Name :- User Information
UserId Name Region
****** **** ******
Ind1 Babu 12
Ind2 Raj 3
Ind3 Dinesh 2
Ind4 Kumar 1
Table Name :- Property table PropertyID PropertyName
********** ************
1 Color
2 Height
3 Width
4 Volume
- -
- -
- -
600 Weight Now when the user enters the site all the
600 properties are displayed in a tabular form. The problem is each user will have
his own preference on the order of display of these 600 properties.
User A may want the 600th property to be displayed first and then the others,
User B may want the 4th property to be displayed first and then the others.
In this kind of a scenario how should I store the order preference of each user in
another table.Should I make use of a junction table or is there any other approach.
Assume I have 1000 users ,for each user I should store the preference. Thanks
BABURAJ
