----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Abh4Dotnet Message 14 in Discussion To add up I do think u may need to make sure these: 1. MSI 1.5 is installed. When we build the setup program from vs.net u migth have noticed another exe file created with <Setup_Name>.exe . This is bootstrap and if msi 1.5 is not installed the this will install that too. 2. U can also include a search for .NET install the best option now is to check for the regsitry itself..(Search registry option in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\policy\v1.1 to check for v1.1.) I feel so..pls let me know if any better ideas..) and then only install the framework... Also I do believe using the setup program (msi) editor with VS.NET makes it a lot limited and may not be very professional. Wise and other companies have their own install programs for .NET but still not so very useful.
