To run xp_cmdshell, you again need to be part of the sysadmin fixed server role or you 
can GRANT access to a specific user account to execute the command. I'm suprised 
however that you cannot run this command, since as per my earlier post, you would have 
made yourself a member of the sysadmin role to do the sp_OACreate command. If the 
command still does not work, make the account that is executing this command a member
