having 2 webconfigs is ok but i dont think u 
need 2nd virtual directory and copy of bin. have Admin as sub folder with 
seperate web.config but dont create virtual dir.
Admin can be accessed with a url like 
this
http://mc-name/applnName/Admin 
instead of http://mc-name/Admin

                in my project, few pages does not require authentication 
                whereas the pages in Admin folder section requires windows 
                authentication. at present i have done it using 2 separate 
                web.config files, one for the project and one for the admin 
                folder, but i was told this approach is wrong. Is there a way 
                that in a single web.config i can specify some location section 
                so that it uses windows authentication only for admin folder 
                section pages??
