Hello All, Thanks for all your replies. But i finally got the solution using a single
web.config file without creating virtual folder for admin. Let me explain the steps in
case any of u may need it:- Assume my project name to be ajaycon. (so, the path
http://localhost/ajaycon) In the project, in the web.config file, inside the
<configuration> tag, i add the foll. code:-   <location path="Admin">
<system.web>
<authorization>
<allow users="AJAY\user1"></allow>
<deny users="*"></deny>
</authorization>
</system.web>
</location>

In the above case, location path=Admin is the path for Admin folder, so all
configuration settings, for Admin folder and files within that , can be done inside
this location tag .
allow users="AJAY\user1" . here, AJAY is the name of my system , user1 is the
username.
thats all needs to be done. So now, whenever a file is tried to be accessed inside
Admin folder,it asks for windows authentication.
Once again, thank u all for ur suggestions and ur time.
Regards
Ajay.
