----------------------------------------------------------- From: Dakshineswar Message 3 in Discussion HIi Vinod, There are a couple of more ways to hanle transactions in .net. 1) You can create a Transaction object and associate this Transaction object to the Connection you have created. All the activities done using this connection would come under the single Transaction object created. Implement the entire transaction in try .. block. Commit this Transaction at the end of the try block. If there is any error in the try block, then rollback the transaction in the catch block. 2) You can use COM+ Services . You have to declare this at the Page directive . This would hancle all the activities done in the entire page under one Transaction. A better help for this topic can be got at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnbda/html/daag.asp have a look at the above paractices of Microsoft. This contains all types of transactions in it. Its a free downloadable in PDF format. Go thru this. Its a good bood for overall Data Access in .Net Kalyan D. bheri [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDOTNET/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
