Hi Satheesh,   There are very good pointers mentioned from Srini and Kalyan. I think 
you are confused to how did the ADO rollback the transaction committed from SQL Sever. 
BTW, SQL Server didn't start the transaction on first place. ADO has the control and 
if you use the profiler to catch the DTC transactions then you will see that a single 
Transaction GUID is used to moinitor the transaction attributes of the connection. And 
the committing and rollback of the ADO Transaction is final ... SQL Server will just 
join the ADO transaction initiated. There is nothing that SQL Server maintains here.   
On the contrary if the component calls the SQL Server SP which has initiated a 
transaction and rollsback. Then we are 100% sure of the behaviour here. SQL Server 
will commit or rollback based on the activity at the SQL Server end. Now in this case
