----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Ambrose Message 1 in Discussion Hi, 1. Is it possible to call a function in SQL Server thro' C#? 2. I read that writing a SQL query with column will be faster than with *. ex. Instead of Select * from tab if we write Select col1 from tab will be faster. but one of my friend told me it will not, coz the statement "from clause" will be executed first. Irrespective of column name it will get all the data from the Disk then it will query for columns. Is it like that? Thanks Anandraj.A. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDOTNET/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
