hi mrinal, just see this example SqlConnection nwindConn = new
SqlConnection("Data Source=localhost;Integrated Security=SSPI;Initial
Catalog=northwind");
SqlCommand selectCMD = new SqlCommand("SELECT CustomerID, CompanyName FROM Customers",
nwindConn);
selectCMD.CommandTimeout = 30;
SqlDataAdapter custDA = new SqlDataAdapter();
custDA.SelectCommand = selectCMD;
nwindConn.Open(); --- here we are opening the conn
DataSet custDS = new DataSet(); --creating data set object
custDA.Fill(custDS, "Customers"); nwindConn.Close(); --- here we are closing the
connection above is a MSDN sample what I want to pointout is that the code sample
shows the creation of the dataset object but code sample does not show where it is
closed or released where will it happen and when will it happen.will GC take care if
yes how reliable it is? regards sanjay
