Hi All, Since most of the members of this group are working profressionals 
working in Microsoft Technologies, specially .Net and associated areas, I think 
it may be a good idea, if we use this platform to collate and bring together 
information about the expected/average/best salaries that are being offered to 
professionals at various experience levels and what people can expect. This can 
help us all to be better informed and also be aware of the value we can deserve 
for our work. It also gives us opportunity to learn from each other, about what 
are the areas in which we should pay maximum attention/work harder to improve 
our professional worth in the market and be better informed.   I wish to 
initiate this discussion by putting in some initial figures, which are subject 
to review/comments by all of you, and provide your own inputs.   The base set 
of skill sets I am covering here are: BE/BTech/M.Tech followed by experience in 
1. C++/C#/.NET/ASP.NET 2. OOPS/ OOAD Design /UML 3. Sql Server 4. Good 
Knowledge Testing/Programming/Processes/Estimation etc..   Average Salary 
Levels as of Nov 2006 Experience Level: 1-2 Years: 3.5-5 lacs p.a 2-3 years: 
4.5-6 lacs p.a 3-5 years: 7-8 lacs p.a 5-8 years: 8-11 lacs p.a 8+ (Tech 
Leads/Architects): 12-15 lacs p.a   Please comment on these figures and share 
your experience. U can regroup and provide any other categories details you 
feel like... You can also add the Best Salaries you have heard for various 
salary levels, and the companies who have offered them.
