Hi, all,
I'm interested in either locating or designing a test system architecture
using inexpensive and physically robust modules. My requirements:
- Modular architecture in which test interface boards can be plugged
into a backplane or similar hardware structure.
- Up to 10 boards per backplane
- Physically robust
- Inexpensive
- Reasonably high data rates along the backplane (high resolution
digital video)
- Interface boards need to be designed to support:
- Ethernet at up to about 100 MBPS rates
- USB to video rates
- RS485 with arbitrary data link layer protocols
VXI will support all these requirements except the "inexpensive."
I'm not new to SW or HW architecture, but I am new to Beagle and Raspberry
Pi.
Has anyone commercialized something like this, or am I barking up the wrong
tree?
Thanks,
- NF.
