Ahh, interesting. It wasn't obvious how to get to the account screen you linked to. I saw the basic Journal... from there, I seem to be able to click on a balance assertion for the account in question, and then it filters to just that account, and does show the running balance.
Actually, I now see I can select that account from several different screens, all leading me to the same place. This is perfect. I like the filtering capabilities of fava. This is far better (and actually somehow simpler) than everything else I've used. Thanks a million for the quick, helpful answer.
