Hi Magnetophon.
I've read up a bit about NixOs. Because it installs everything in their own 
paths, hardcoded paths in other packages won't work well there. I'm happy to 
fix that in Beast, but it sounds like there's a fair bit of work involved. So I 
suggest we change our work setup for that. I recommend the following:

- You start to build Git master, so you get build fixes immediately once we've 
resolved an issue.
- You join us on #beast on irc.gimp.org, so we can quickly go back and forth on 
new issues you're running into (I'm on CEST btw, usually available throughout 
the day and often night hours).
- Once you've gotten a successful build going, I can make another release that 
incorporates those fixes, so you can get off of master again (which is alpha 
quality at best).

Think that could work for you?
