As for me, I didn't let it die because I didn't like the direction it was
headed... While I have a different opinion to that of Uri, Randal, etc., it
wasn't meant to question their knowledge of Perl -- it was heading in that
direction. The take-home message is just "to give the new person who wants to
help someone a break". The word "Perl" doesn't appear in that sentence...
Few want to see this thread continue (I don't... :-) ), so let's just cut the
new person a break in the future... It's almost like we've all forgotten what
it's like to be the newbie...
