I have yet to learn who cometh and touched my files while I sleep. All OSes are equally bad a this.

Best thing to do is setup groups and permission the groups correctly then blame everyone in the group until someone fesses up. > -----Original Message----- > From: Kipp, James [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, July 01, 2002 12:52 PM > To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > Subject: RE: grab user to last modify file > > > > > > anyone know of a way to determine the user who last > > > accessed or modified a > > > > file ? > > > > In general, anything you want to know about a given file is > available > > thru the stat() function. > > http://www.perldoc.com/perl5.6.1/pod/func/stat.html > > > > anything BUT what i need above. > > > -- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------- The views and opinions expressed in this email message are the sender's own, and do not necessarily represent the views and opinions of Summit Systems Inc. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
