I do think it's fine to ignore the messages whose author did not show sufficient effort (and you are the one who decides what's sufficient). I doubt though he would not feel insulted if all his messages were ignored by all. If you feel like flaming, hit DELETE. Hurts at first, but it's quicker. I always ignore messages with bogus subjects. Without reading. I always ignore messages that clearly show the poster did not do anything himself beforehand. I always ignore messages that would require me to explain basic math or the very basics of programming in general.
