hi,
i am a regular computer user.i use XP on my pc.but i am  interested  in linux.
i heard that linux is safe to use for internet.i have got many troubles with worms and trojans using internet.
can u advise which linux distribution is best for me?there are so many,i get confused.
what about GNOME and  KDE?are  they linux distributions?
can i run SAS SPSS S-PLUS FORTRAN in linux?
ps: i live in  dhaka,bangladesh.there are not many linux distributions available in the market.
