Well, we live out in the country but we don't have any horses (yet!). My husband is dying to get one. Meanwhile we get to drive past horses every day we go to work. Down the street are two families that share one big pasture and have 7 horses between them. Other neighbors have horses that they take up onto a nearby hilltop. One morning this summer I was out early and there, against the bright green grass were several horses and one brilliant white one -- it was breathtakingly beautiful.
As for our dogs - when Mickey was about a year old, I had him out for a walk down the road to see the horses and he just stopped, stared, and looked at me with a face that said - "Mom! Look at THOSE big doggies!!" Catherine Young, Cross Plains WI Shadow, Mickey, Jenny & Canoe
