Does your IT policy allow for users to install and run certain
applications. I would also check the IT policy settings.

Subject: [Bes-admins] Visual voice Mail on Verizon Storm

Hello All,

I have a user that is attempting to use this feature on her personal BB
on our BES. Her OS level on the Storm is 4.0.0.136.

This is the error that she gets below:

I would like to enable visual voicemail but I get a message that says
"Required permission for Visual Voicemail cannot be set probably due to
IT policy restrictions, Phone needs Allow, Please consult with your
system admin."

We've tried:

*       Resending Service Books
* On her phone. Options > Security Options > Application
Permissions > Visual Voicemail (Edit Permissions) We tried to change
the Connections to ALLOW, however it wont change over, stays on CUSTOM
(assuming this is from IT Policy...we just cant locate where the policy
is!)
* Security Policy Group\Allow Split Pipe Connections to TRUE (Via
BES)
*       Reloading OS
