If you delete the Desktop{SYNC} service book (Options-Advance
Options-Service Book) and connect it to BBM it should allow you to
restore previously greyed out services.

Then to restore it, just go back to the service book and click and
choose Undelete. It will restore the Sync service book and all will
work fine.

Sometimes you have to disable calendar and contacts wireless sync as
well from within their respective option menus before it will work,
but with BBM the initial step should work fine.
