That I'm not sure on. When I spoke with support - they had me do it on
the phone.

Is there a way this can be done from the server?

Yes you can do it - we ran into the issue just this morning. J

What you need to do is change your BB device to use Internet
Browser vs. Blackberry Browser from within the Browser Options.

All of our BB devices were getting Websensed! J

I have the same issue. My reasoning for wanting this done is for
when the Internet access is down at the BES. At least this way they
could still surf.

Would it be easier to just adjust the internet filter for your
BES server since that is where the internet requests are processed?

We want to do the opposite. We don't want our Blackberry
traffic to be filtered. Our Desktop internet policy is pretty strict so
if we locked down the blackberry internet, we would have some angry
attorneys.

Ah, interesting. Most folks want it the other way. (We
want our traffic to go through our network so we can filter it.)

In the IT Policy on the BES I only see the options for
disabling all browsing and for disabling the Internet browsing icon (but
nothing for disabling the internal browser.)
