Tested the VZW Droid that is set up to the corp. Exchange using Active Sync.

Unable to wipe remotely? Droid is not accepting security policy changes.

Any suggestions?

We allow our users to use it as well. No security risk involved that we've
found. Plus, it allows our mobile users to get what they need pretty
quickly & cheaply (unlike VZ Navigator which does the same thing as Google
Maps and is about 10.00/month)

We allow Google Maps. In fact, we push it via software configuration to
every handheld. It’s an incredibly nice tool for our mobile sales force
and mobile service force.
I have yet to find any security risk involved with using it. YMMV.

Subject: [Bes-admins] Google Mobile App

All,

We have a user connected to our BES that would like to use this software
(Google Mobile Application) on their device. This application requires
certain permissions to be changed on the device, that we currently do not
allow.

Is anyone else allowing this application? And if so, what security risks
are involved?

Thanks
