You have your trade up key already I take it for BPS? BES 4 - BES 5 is free,
BPS - BES 5 requires buying a license

Not much to add except to take advantage of the VM and take a snapshot before
you do the upgrade. You don't say where your database is stored but even so,
you will be looking at a DB restore only if things go a bit wrong.
Good luck :)

Subject: [Bes-admins] BPS -> BES upgrade tips
Within the next week I plan to upgrade our current BPS 4.1 to BES 5.0.
This is my first contact with BES as opposed to BPS.
I understand that this is an in-place upgrade, and I don't have to
create a new BES install.
BES is currently installed on Win2003 server which is running as a
virtual machine. It has ~20 GB C: drive and the OS and BPS are taking
up just a bit less than 8 GB.
I have links to documentation, but I am looking for tips, not
instructions or steps. Stuff that may be hidden or non-existent in the
documentation that any of you found through experience.
I guess my first question is going to be whether 20 GB is big enough,
probably ~50-60 users? It would be easier to add storage by adding a D:
drive rather than expanding the C: drive. Can I move parts of BES to D:?
Thanks for any suggestions.
