What specifically should I check about the MAPI profile?

If you are using Exchange 2010, there is something called
throttling that needs to be adjusted for message flow to work. Also check MAPI
profile on BES server.

Any idea what updating the domain controllers to 2008 R2 could
have broken? I just get a red X now trying to send external BB
messages.
