If you go into the browser options, browser configuration and switch to the 
internet browser, it should allow you to change the default search provider. 
This should change it in the BES browser as well. (unless something is very 
different in the 9650)

I'm pretty sure I killed Bing in the Advanced Options.  You can download
some Google front ends in the App World.
