I also had two - One the ring tone was corrupt - the other, well the
user had the volume turned down.

sure how to correct it.  The problem is no matter what setting you have
setup for the profiles the ringer will not ring when a call comes in. 
We tried rebooting the phone and changing all the ringer settings with
no luck.  One device was a user’s personal BB 9000 (not on BES) and
another was a BES controlled BB 9800 with latest OS.

Does anyone have any ideas?
