Yes that is correct. They can provide BES AES type encryption packaged over 
Activsync though for a higher level of security I believe.

One thing to keep in mind, if you weren't already aware, is that Mobile Fusion 
+ the Universal Device Service only provide Mobile Device Management (MDM) 
features. You still rely on Exchange ActiveSync for the actual PIM sync and 
transport.

My understanding with the BlackBerry Device Service (for PlayBook) is that it 
also relies on Exchange ActiveSync.

Did they start supporting ios and android yet?  I only see that functionality 
as being important.  There's maybe 3 playbooks in use out of 1500 users here 
and only 1 of those is someone not in the IT department.
