I _do_ know how to do searches. That wasn't my point.

However, if I use the download link at that URL, I obtain (on OS X) an
automatically unzipped folder jqt-mac-x64. (OS X "helpfully" automatically
unzips archives.) Do I want that unzipped folder or the actual .zip (which of
course I can recreate)?

Next, do I need to use the " install 'tide' " in the J console -- which is what
the page http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/Guides/Qt%20IDE/Install describes?

Even for a beta, quite explicit and complete instructions about
installing/updating are devoutly to be wished.
