I have a tablet and smartphone, but like you I spend most of my day in front of a large, comfortable keyboard, using two full-size monitors, connected to a laptop -- interacting with webapps .
Browsers and J aside, the only desktop app I spend significant time with is MS Outlook, and it's responsiveness is so terrible I wish I could use gmail instead (several organizations I know of have this made switch corporate-wide, and I hear good feedback). -Dan Please excuse typos; composed on a handheld device.
