Something not brought up that is an issue is that 806 includes non-backward compatible syntax changes.
The limited hardware compatibility of avx, means that we might consider avoiding new syntax if a new non-avx build that includes those syntax changes doesn't get released (and stay up after avx "performance" updates are released).
