The eventual 806 will include avx and non-avx binaries. The beta currently only includes the avx binary.
We haven't figured out a clean way to include both and provide good info to the user and the ability to switch between them. We are working on this and at minimum the next beta will include both avx and non-avx binaries. Detection of avx is surprisingly difficult. It may be that the best we can do is to document in the installation steps hat if staring jconsole fails, to then run the shell script to switch to the non-avx binary.
