BoxForm is set in both base.cfg (on a per-platform basis) as well as in
qtide.cfg. This allows jconsole on Windows to have BoxForm=: 1 (i.e. ASCII)
because it doesn't handle line-drawing chars well, while the JQt frontend
can be set to default to BoxForm=: 0 (Line drawing chars) which work fine
there.
Note you can also programmatically toggle the chars using boxdraw_j_ 0 or
boxdraw_j_ 1.
