ijs windows are just text edit windows normally intended for editing scripts. See the menu items for things you can do with an ijs window. The most common action is ctrl+w which load the script.

ijx (only one) is analogous to the jconsole window.

Well, on my system, when I create new ijs (ctrl+n) windows, then
the tile, tile across, and cascade do rearrange the windows as
i would expect, but other than the initial .ijx window, none of
the others are "connected" to the j engine (so not very useful...)

On the other hand, if I run an OpenGL demo and use cntrl+f the
size and frames/sec are reported. The slowest animation I found
was the "Braid Knot" -- w h: 480 360 frames/sec: 12.7824 - this
on my 2.1 GHz iMac G5. However, the report comes back in the
initial ijx window, no matter if the demo is instanciated from
there or one of the ijs windows (it does work to run demos from
the ijs windows, just no interactive capability... Likewise, if
a lab is started from one of the ijs window Studio menus then
the lab runs in the ijx window.

This doesn't seem right/useful - but I so seldom use the IDE that
it may be just one other attribute that I find mysterious....
