The proposed browser interface may be useful for this type of scenario. 
Especially if the images generated by plot, viewmat etc. could be incorporated 
in/alongside the session output/log in the browser window.

Such a setup would probably have a lot of benefits over standalone 
installations both in terms of system management as well as tracking student 
progress.
