Joey,

I saw almost the same thing (a terminal window with
`/Users/brian/j701/bin/jhs.command; exit` in it) when I launch jhs via
the red J icon. It told me to launch jhs by typing
`http://127.0.0.1:65001/jijx` into a browser window, which I did
successfully (btw, a neat shortcut from the terminal is Not to copy
and paste `http://127.0.0.1:65001/jijx`, but to hold down the Command
key while triple-clicking on that line, and the default browser opens
that page.)

So far, so good, and the demo's worked as expected. Though as you say
somewhere, the j602 feature of the plot going to Preview seemed
preferrable. There was no error message with demo6 until I attempted
to see if the jhs would also work from Firefox by typing
`http://127.0.0.1:65001/jijx` into the Firefox address field. That's
when I saw the error messages pop up and the same error messges were
back in Safari when I again typed `http://127.0.0.1:65001/jijx` there.
And I was not smart enough to figure out what to type to end the jhs
session; but you were.

So I guess you cannot enter the same jhs session from two separate browsers.

And Eric, it looks like Joey has answered my questions and the demo's
work fine on Mac PowerPC.

Thanks very much for your help, Joey and Eric.
