I don't think this is a new problem with JHS. Sounds like the problem is
that JAL has an call to curl that doesn't match the requirements on your
system. JAL needs to be fixed to either give a better error report or to
detect and avoid the unsupported curl option.

Meantime a workaround might be to get a newer version of curl.
