Here are some step-by-step instructions for restarting your JHS session hosted on the Jsoftware server.
* Navigate to the J User Manager (JUM) at http://www.jsoftware.com:50001/jum * In the password edit box enter the password: jumjum * Press Enter * A page is displayed with the bold text "J logged in" and above that a link titled "J User Manager" * Click on the link * Page is displayed headed "J HTTP Server : User Manager", there is an edit box for User Name and a bunch of buttons underneath it. * Type your user name in the User Name edit box (If you can't remember your User name click the "users" button to list all user names) * Click the "kill" button to end your session. * Click the "start" button to start a new session. * Click the "status" button to display a link to the jijx page of your session. Your session has now been restarted, now you will need to login to it. * Click on the link to the jijx page of your session * A page is displayed headed "J login" * Type in your user name (same as before) * Type in your password (as previously provided by Eric?) * Press Enter. When you have finished working in your session, you should logout (click "jlogout" in the "link" menu). This doesn't end your session (it is still running on the server), but it means no one can access it without logging in again. It also means you can then successfully login to the same session from somewhere else (another computer). > On Wed, Aug 11, 2010 at 1:50 PM, Don Guinn <[email protected]> wrote: > > So, should we occasionally shut down our session to get the latest > updates? > > Or do you somehow update our sessions without them being shut down. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
