Yes you should use pacman. 
Pressing "status" compares your installed addons to the local version of JAL 
information (it reports when that local version was last updated). You probably 
need to "update" the local JAL information.

Once you've done that, it should report that there is (at least) one installed 
addon that can be updated. Click on "not installed" select the ide/jhs addon 
from the list and press "upgrade".

Note you will then have to restart your server.

Alternatively the following should ensure that the ide/jhs addon is updated to 
the latest version in any of the J7 Front Ends.
  load 'pacman'
  'update' jpkg ''
  'showupgrades' jpkg ''
  'upgrade' jpkg 'ide/jhs'
